What is Zumba?
Zumba is an exciting blend of Latin music and cardio moves designed to give you a fun but intense cardio workout. Zumba routines
feature interval cardio respiratory training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training combine to tone and
sculpt your body while burning fat.
Where did Zumba come from?
Zumba was developed in Colombia in the mid 1990s by fitness trainer Beto Perez and was brought to North America in 1999. Since 2002, Zumba has exploded into a world-wide with more than 2000 instructors and video sales in over 30 countries.
Who can do Zumba?
Anyone! Zumba is for everyone young, old, male, female. No dance experience necessary.

Christine brought Zumba to Calgary from Ontario in July 2008. She was the first certified Zumba instructor in the province and has
sparked a craze all over the city! Christine's Zumba classes are some of the most popular in town. Definitely not to be missed!

Zumba Girls Dance Group
Zumba Girls Dance Group is a unique group of dancers/Zumba instructors
performing in Calgary. Not only will you get to see for yourself what Zumba is
all about you can watch these talented trained girls perform their own fabulous
choreographed routines. Performances will be throughout the year at various

Tropicart was formed by Maria Pedrosa. Enjoy watching this fun group of
